    I have a question on Datapage,when I insert the SPC Command to set-up for SPC,and then I go to Datapage Software Editor to create a file to send my Spc
    Data,I'm creating multiple files,because I need to do Spc for different part numbers,now when I run my program on any par number,it seems like the software is running the other set-up files.How you set-up Spc?

    Are you refering to when you open datapage open up the reports and graphs you see all the parts in it? If so thats because you created a database. You can create a indavidual database for each one, but thats over kill. If not please give a little more info. where you from

      Couple things,
      You can change the path/name of what database the data is going into by hitting F9 in command mode where the stats commands are, and make sure the part name is different from anyother one, that would put the different part numbers in the same database The ladder is probably the best way, no reason for making multiple databases if you dont need to, changing from part# to part# is as easy as a pulldown menu.

        Reply on Spc Datapage

        Ok, Thanks for your advice,but i'm still confuse because if your are collecting Spc data for Multiple part numbers lets say Five different part numbers with different spc dimensions,and then if just send all the data to DataPage without creating different datadase for the part numbers,How will you distinguist the data from one part to another.

          Think of it as each program (part number) being it's own database "set" within a larger global database. Each part number should have it's own program. Try a couple short experimental programs, you'll get it when you look in Datapage after running them (IMO).

            think of Data page is a big data base.
            part (program) number lengths are limited to the first 24 characters.

              If your program is labeled THIS-PART, then all the data will show up in Datapage under the THIS-PART, if the next program is labeled THAT-PART, then all the data will show up under THAT-PART. Think of it as a directory tree in Datapage.

              PART = THIS-PART
              Variable P001.X
              Variable P002.X
              Variable P003.X
              PART = THAT-PART
              Variable P001.X
              Variable P002.X
              Variable P003.X

              Then, when you ask it to show you the data for THIS-PART, Variable P001.x, it will only show you the data for THIS-PART, it will not show you any data for THAT-PART, even if it has the SAME varialbe in it's list.

              The NAME of the part will be in the program, at the top of the program, it will save the data under the PART NAME in datapage. So, if the program has this PART NAME : MY-PART then all the data will be stored under MY-PART in Datapage. I have yet to find a limit for the number of different PART NAMEs that you can store in Datapage, nor a limit to the number of VARIABLES or TRANSACTIONS. Of course, over time, the database will start to get pretty huge and as it gets bigger, it gets slower. AND, there is no way to really remove data from the database, even when deleted it is still there and taking up space in the database, so every so often, you have to make a new one to clean out the 'junk'.

                Or hows this, the first database is a folder, each job is a sub-folder, so each feature is seen only for that sub-folder.

                    Delete the XSTATS11.TMP file in the Pcdmis install directory. You have a BAD path in the database, since it can not find the path, it will not clear the file so that bad path stays there and it shows up EVERYTIME.
