whats the correct way to measure a sphere with pcdmis 3.5

Is there a correct way? Here is what i do. If I have nominals, I simply control teh feature vector and the approach vector and measure it with 8 hits on three levels. If I don't have nominals, I measure manually first then remeasure in DCC, again using 8 hits and three levels.

I just want to add to Bill's advice. Do an odd number of points, always have 1 at the "top" of your sphere. 5 is really enough pts for most applications, its waht I use to calibrate my probe on my artifact.....

I prefer 8 hits on three levels, because it gives me four hits on the equator, three hits above the equator, and one on the top.

IN a case like that, I will use 9 on 3, gives 5-4-1
