Patch scan stalling

I've written several programs where I've seen this happen.
When writing the program and executing single patch scans everything is fine.
While running the entire program, the machine will stop at the beginning of a patch scan and just sit there.
If I cancel out and press CNTRL U, it will continue as if everything is fine.

I also tried this program on a Sheffield machine Saturday with the same results.

Iv'e found that when I used to have that problem, it was because the computer didn't have the balls to crunch the numbers. Iv'e since then upgraded to a better computer and have not had that problem since.

When this happens try this. Hit the stop button via your mouse, click continue. It should start it going again?

I have the same problem in 4.1 but not when doing a scan. If I get a false probe hit or out of range error the machine will stop after correcting the error and do nothing. No way to correct it but re-execute or continue from the point??? Another reason I hate 4.1!!!
