Renishaw Knuckle joint not in probe.dat file

I need to define a Renishaw knuckle p/n A-5003-4686 Rotary which does not exist in the drop down menu under Probe Utilities. Does anyone have the definition data for this knuckle or any documentation on how to do this?

Try open the file "PROBE.DAT" with notepad, and add some thing like the following format:

If you are going to be using the knuckle @ 90 degrees I find it easier to tell it you are using a star probe with only one tip. Note this only works for a 90 degree knuckle. HTH

Thanks for the replies, somewhere I seen a document that describes the data in the probe.dat. I would think that the data needs to modified in the probe.dat file for a knuckle based on the angle that the knuckle is set to, does this sound right?

An old probe.dat file can be used in a newer version. It is just a data file and has no ties to anything. Another option would be to find that missing probe in the older .dat file and copy paste it into the new .dat file.
