Automatic Reporting (Printing) 4.1

Sorry for another 4.1 Reporting question.

I need to know how to get 4.1 to automatically print out the report when the program has finished running.

* I have the Format/text, options (line of code) in my program.
* I have the "Printer" box checked (file-printing-edit print setup-check box)
* I've "Added" the default text only and hit the "Make this the default".
* I am able to view report and hit the icon from there to report ...but I really want PC-DMIS 4.1 to automatically print out after the program is done.

Insert>> Report>>Print Command. You will have to toglle on/off printer, to file etc etc.I usually put this at the very end of my program immediately below a stats/update command.

I don't have any luck at all getting the print command to work. The only way that I can get a report to print on 4.1 is to put the check mark in the "Printer" box (file-printing-edit print setup-check box).

Any suggestions as to what I could do to get the print command to work? As far as I know, I am making all the changes that should be needed to make the printer work, but it still will not print.

Yes ,this is a very nice tool to set-up different printing options.

Are you sending out to pdf? Delete your executegbarstate and reopen DMIS, make sure that you have the report window open during execution.

Automatic printing is defective in the August 2nd version of 4.1. It works in virtually all other ones. Either wait for 4.2 or load a later version (like I did, specifcially to get around this problem).

Where can I find a later version? The 2 August version is the latest I can see to download.

I contacted tech support and they sent me to an ftp site.

Not sure whether anyone can just use this. I suggest you call tech support and find out.
