  • TR_FG015,wrist error

One of our global CMM's crashed today and this is the error that came up. The PH10 and SP25m are loose. I've seen it happen on other CMM's and shutting everything down and rebooting ususally reseats the PH but its not working this time. The PHC 10-2 box is also showing a red stop light. Does anyone know how to fix this or should I get the cheque book out.

    Thanks in advance

Did you turn on and off the PH10 controller?

Do a complete shutdown and restart. This should reset everything.

Make sure that the cable is connected securely to the plug from the ph10. It may have come loose from the hit.

Have you tried to change the position using the little key-pad? You may have to do that to 'clear' the error and get it to re-seat.

This may sound stupid, but if the probe is "limp" move it to a different position before trying to power down your PHC10-2 controller, pwer off you SP25 controller as well, If you have a tp2 or tp20 to mount in place try that while trouble shooting.
We have had simliar issues with a PH10MQ and a SP600,
              Good Luck

Tried all of the above and still no joy.
Matt what key pad should I try.

The key-pad that lets YOU change the angle of the PH9, PH10 or whatever, unless you don't have one on your machine. Should be hooked up with a cable, just like the joystick box.

Swore blue at the CMM, told her I was going to the pub and wasn't coming in tomorrow, pressed machine start, hey presto, fixed, 3 hours of my time wasted so I'm still going to the pub. Cheers lads who's round is it?
