  • Ouptputting to CSV Files

    Does anyone know how to utilize the CSV function for PC-DMIS. I understand that it is similar to an Excel file and I need to output data for about 400 parts into some type of spreadsheet format....This customer does not have Datapage or any other SPC management sw.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    You have to do it manually after each part is ran on the CMM use caution not to overwrite the previous file.

      Hey Folks,

      What is the "CSV" function, and what is it used for?

      Thanks in advance.

        If YOU have Datapage (no matter is YOUR customer has it or not), you can save to Datapage, then export a worksheet for him from there.

            Open file

            I open and write to a file, you can call this file an xl file, but it isn't really, just puts the values into columns, (CSV). Just save it as an .xl file after you have opened it.

            The code below should give you an understanding:-

            ASSIGN/DATE = LEFT(T1,11)
            ASSIGN/MONTH = MID(T1,4,3)
            ASSIGN/YEAR = MID(T1,20,4)
            ASSIGN/TODAYSDATE = DATE
            ASSIGN/T2 = MID(T1,11)
            V17 =FILE/EXISTS,C:\RESULTS\TP400.XLS
            IF/V17=="1"
            COMMENT/OPER,NO,FILE EXISTS,CONTINUE
            ,====================
            END_IF/
            ELSE/
            COMMENT/OPER,NO,FILE DOESN'T EXIST
            ,CREATE NEW FILE !!
            END_ELSE/
            FPTR =FILE/OPEN,C:\RESULTS\TP400.XLS,APPEND
            FILE/WRITE_BLOCK,FPTR,TODAYSDATE
