  • Problem with encoder Y signal

I am having problems with a CMM Global Status 544. When I try to move it in a Y axis is showing me a message with the legend:"TR_GEB_Y, Error at encoder signal Y axis".
Any body can help me on how can I fix this problem or what I need to do?

    Thanks

Tru cleaning the scale with a lint free and alcohol. You can also try and clean the encoder intself. I do this on my Pfx's on a semi-regular basis when I get an encoder error and it usaually takes care of it.

On the y axis drive leg.
Be very careful what you do around the encoder.
If you move it your controller could lose signal.
If you damage it it's expensive to replace.
If you keep your scales clean you should never need to clean the encoder.
This should only be done at calibration or by someone who knows exactly what they are doing.
