  • changing feature color default v3.5 release

i cant seem to remember where this is.

all my features default to pink (from the last person who worked here) and i can't remember where the switch is to change this and i hate pink.

i have looked all over and everything seems to be default black but the points are still defaulting to pink. i have a feeling that its right under my nose. thnx for the help.

unfortunately I believe this setting for feature color is "program specific"....meaning that they all need to be changed individually. I edited my feat colors/saved newname/opened original and found the correct black color. When I opened the saved newname file the colors were changed to pink just like they were saved as.

If this color was present when the prog's were saved they will retain that same "girly" color

        happy editing

        happy new year

There should be a way to change the default. I'll have to start my machine up to see. Give me a few minutes.

Well, I thought I knew how to do that but I can't figure it out.

The good news is that you can select multiple features and change all of their colors at one time.

hmm... must be a registry setting or something, someone changed it to pink so theres got to be a way to set it.

stupid 3.5 release you have to click every feature indiviually, holding down shift or ctrl doesn't allow you to select mulitple features all at once in the feature appearance box and no SMA past 3.5 release i guess i will have to suffer.

                  Bummer.

Are we talking about cad features or constructed features or what?

EDIT>>PREFERENCES>>PARAMETERS>>SETUP>>ID SETUP>>LABELS FOR ..FEATURES>>TYPE...POINTS>>CHOOSE THE CHECK BOX NEXT TO COLOR>>CHOOSE "BLACK">>APPLY>>DEFAULTS(at bottom of window). Now all points created after this set of clicks has been initiated will be black.

You forgot the part about killing a virgin goat and putting the liver under the monitor...

I've never met a goat that was a virgin. Nor have I met a goat with a good liver.
