  • New program start code additions

    Is there any way I can add code to the first few lines of code you get when a new program is created? What I am trying to do is add a GAPONLY/ON command to every new program automaticly by putting it in the area like this:

    STARTUP =ALIGNMENT/START,RECALL:, LIST= YES
    ALIGNMENT/END
    MODE/MANUAL
    PREHIT/ 0.1181
    RETRACT/ 0.0787
    MOVESPEED/ 100
    TOUCHSPEED/ 3
    SCANSPEED/ 100
    MANRETRACT/0.1969
    LOADPROBE/PH10
    TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=0.0001, -0.0004, 1, ANGLE=-0.2564
    FORMAT/TEXT, ,ID,HEADINGS,SYMBOLS, ;MEAS,NOM,TOL,DEV,OUTTOL, ,
    GAPONLY/ON

    NOPE, no way that I know of. It would also be nice to ahve the code in there that says PROMPCOMP/ON since that is what Pcdmis defaults to when you start a program, but that is missing too. Also missing is the WORKPLANE that Pcdmis defaults to for new programs (ZPLUS). It is in the current workplane dropdown, but not in the code.

      You can make a new program file and use it when you start a new program and do a save as right away

        What Tom said. Mark the program as read-only though so that if you forget to save as with a new name right away as soon as you hit ctrl+s it will kick up the save as window.
