I am using a global image with a sp80 probe head. It does not articulate. I need a star probe with the #2 probe (-1,0,0) rotated 15 degrees about Z so it has a shank vector of -.9659,.2588,0 and probe #4 has a vector of .9625, -.2588,0. Is this possible? I have calibrated over and over but it seems to think the probes are still square.

Weel, you will have to edit the PROBE.DAT file and for a star probe, that will be quite a task. However, once you have them calibrated, teh relationship between them all wil be correct. And, once they are calibrated (you may have to do it manually the first time) they should update to the actual angles. Calibrate the 'down' tip first, all by itself, with the tool in a known position, then manually calibrate all of them, then do it in DCC, it should calibrate correctly.sigpic
