  • Auto Features Disabling

When I open an old program the Auto Features are suddenly disabled. But only with this one program. It has a fairly large .cad file associated with it so I tried deleting most of the surfaces to see if that was somehow the culprit, but no luck. I have no idea where the original cad file is to try and import into a new program so I'm SOL there. Any ideas? I have a call into tech support but I can't remember the last time they actually helped me solve an issue (when they even bother to call back) unlike the people on this board.

Have you tried renaming the .cad file you do have? See if that is the culprit. Before going to other possibilities?

I just tried it. Opened the program without the .cad but still no luck.

        Probably not the issue...but..
When your cursor in the program is above the first Probe file loaded.... all of the auto features are disabled....
        ??

Dude, good point. That happened to the NS guy here once, somehow the edit window got switched to REPORT mode and the cursor was all the way at the top of the EDIT window, so he thought the program was all gone and nothing there to run. Of course, HE somehow switched it to the REPORT window, but hey, it's nights, what can you say? Without it having been executed, there was nothing in the report window.

Yeah, I know about that. It doesn't matter where the cursor is in this one program, the auto features are still disabled. But only this one program and only the auto features. Tech support said to try a reinstall but I think they just don't believe me that it's only this one program.

Found the problem. It was an old program from a different machine and the probe file was one that was not defined on this machine. Thanks for the responses.
