4.0 CAD CAPABILITIES

Have they updated the Cad capabilities in 4.0?
We just got a machine with CMM Manager Software. In my opinion PC-DMIS is far more superior in all areas except the Cad capabilities. CMM Manager will allow you to realign the cad model, edit the cad model, and hide areas that you don't want to see.

Has PC-Dmis upgraded theirs any?

In the demo version of 4.0 that I saw at the last user group meeting....this feature will now be available in 4.0

I have been able to re-align the cad model in 3.7 MR2

Yes, I've had complete control of the CAD model since 3.5. And moving the origin around is the job of a CAD software. I know Boeing and Lockheed-Martin does not allow it. I think learning to use Pc-Dmis better is the answer.

You have no idea how much control you DO NOT have with PC-DMIS....I am running 3.7MR3 and the CAD capabilities are CRAP!!!!!.........Once you've used a REAL CAD/CMM software (Like Calypso) you really don't know how bad we have it with PCDMIS.
Just my opinion of course......

This is true.....But wouldn't it be nice to have the best of both worlds?????......
Other CMM Software's have great CAD capability, why can't PCDMIS?.....

my thoughts....I have enough to do, some days more than I can do, so I end up working late (beyond my 10 hour day)
