It all depends on how long you have used the software.

Take a couple of parts or at least prints of what you will check at work. Ask questions about the types of features you measure. If you are getting training in Wixom, go to Bonfire Bistro & Brewery in Northville, Mi. I had never heard of them. The porter was fantastic.
When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.

heh, i grew up in northville, been to the bonfire many times. they have a watermelon BBQ sauce that they put on wings and ribs that is excellent and a cedar plank salmon thats to die for, actually cooked on a plank of cedar wood.

EDIT: oops i almost hijacked without putting down something on topic.

the class can be very good if you have a good teacher and you know something about the software, even if you are a complete noob you will still get something out of it. bring a part and a print with you. if you are new then expect to have alot of information thrown at you in a short period of time.

I took it in Charlotte and got a lot out of it. It really helped me with working with variables and various I/O commands. Make a list of questions to get answered. They touch on a lot of stuff that will make your life easier. Coming from a MM4 background it was refreshing to be able to relate stuff I knew how to do in that software to PCDMIS.
I can also vouch for Bonfire Bistro & Brewery. Excellent, and the food's good too. Whenever I travel somewhere, I always look for the microbreweries. For some reason, besides usually good beer, they always seem to have great food. I think this proves discriminating beer drinkers are also good cooks.

My boss who is going with me to training informed me that when we are down there we are going to stop at a cigar shop we saw the last time we were down there and have a smoke. Nice to have a thoughful boss like that.
