before to install 4.1, I recommend you to install the 3.7 mr3,
this one will be installed on the same usual path C:\PCDMISW.
when you install 4.1 will be installed by default on \C:\Program Files\WAI\PC-DMIS V41.
theorically you can work with both versions, but both versions will share the same registry on windows. i.e. if you change your defaul probe folder in 4.1, that action will affect in 3.7 also. keep in mind.
I have 3.7 MR2 installed on my computer. Can I install 4.1 and continuing using 3.7 at the same time? Do I have to do some thing special?
Thank you
First download 3.7 MR3 it is much more stable than MR2 ! ! ! Then check out this post.
There are several other similar posts in the "code" section of the forum to answer common questions like this. To the best of my knowledge the only special attention needed for 4.1 is to make sure your computer can handle it. The Wilcox site list the recommended specs. I am not a 4 head so if there is anything else hopefully one of the brave will speak up. Before I leave you to jump, I will point out that most of the 4 heads are recommending people who have not started using 4.x yet to wait for the imminent release of 4.2. HTH

Also,
Make sure to go to the registry settings editor and do an export of registry settings this will help you in case something goes amiss.
Also, go into your pcdmisw folder and find downl.oad and compens.dat, copy to a safe place. If you do not find them in there they are most likely resident on your controller(like mine are). Thats all I can think of at the moment.

I totally agree. If you can, wait a little longer for 4.2....
