  • Replace model

I have a part that just got a major update, I was wondering if it is possible to replace the existing model with the new one. Or am I better off just re-writing the program?

I know it was a long holiday, but why are you asking this question again?

Am I? Ya know, it was a long holiday...but apparently not long enough!

As long as the cad origins are the same you can simply do the FILE ==> IMPORT ==> SELECT YOUR CAD MODEL ==> and choose REPLACE MODEL when prompted. I do that quite often with our designers making changes on a weekly basis.

BUT, simply putting NEW CAD into a Pcdmis program will NOT update ANY of the nominals of any of the features.
