Scan with SP25M nooby question

Good morning all

I have a nooby question.
When I'm using auto feature I can change the measurement strategies to Adaptive Scan and then I can perform scan.
But, when I want to use Scan features from Insert - Scan- (let say) linear open the CMM is taking hits. Is not doing scan.
I know I'm missing something, but I cant figure out what. How to make the CMM to scan using scan feature using PCD 2013MR1.

Uncheck the "To points" checkbox in the scan dialog - if the scan creates points instead of scan.
or...
Make sure "defined" is selected in the scan type combobox.
