  • Generate a Dimension Report on TXT Format

    This should be easy but am affraid it will not!

    Default format for Dimensional Report on PCDMIS are RTF and PDF

    how can get a dimensional report but in TXT format???

    I need it in order to import it on SPC Light,

    I know that after getting RTF, I can convert to TXT, but I wonder if I can get it directly

    using 3.7 MR3

    Is there a utility to transfer the xstats11 file to the Lighthouse database? That may be the question you need answered.

      Generic Text

      Have you ever worked with the Generic Text format? Will this do what you want?

      Try it. Go to File - Export - Generic Text and check out the contents and the format. If this satisfies you, there is a way to automate its export at the end of each execution. IIt requires adding a command at the end of the program to call a script, but that's better than manually exporting. . .

        I would call SPC Light and demand a CMM interface. Most if not all of the current SPC software packages have this feature. If they don't give you an update then you should move to something else. If they can't keep up with the current demands of automation then they will fall behind anyway.
        I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

          I do believe Lighthouse is compatable but it may require a utility. I have SPC light I could check the help file. It may be an add on or option though. SPC Light is a higher end package that can be used with many gages but I don't believe they offer a solitary package that does it all. I wouldn't run from SPC Light, it is very nice software. It comes with decent documentation you could check that as well.

              There is software called PC-Dmis Client which sends your results from PC-Dmis to SPC Light
