try this
First, go to some other application (Word, Excel, etc) and see if you can print from those.
Make sure the printer is in your control panel, try to print a test page from the properties dialog.
Is it a network printer? Mine sometimes gets "lost". Remove it and re-install it is one way to get it back.
"Could be anything" Try these tests and tell us what you find. . .
Also, make sure it is selected in File/Printing/Printer setup dialog -
