Well here I am again trying to keep PCDMIS from crashing for the ninety-ninth time tonight. Every time I try to edit a tolerance, nominal, or feature name dmis starts loading the report and as the prograss bar down at the bottom makes to 100% (finally) it starts over and does it again and again and as soon as you click on the edit screen while this is happening *Presto!* Screeching Locki-upi! No worki getting done. Are there any of you Guru's that can help me out here - I have tried closing the report window, turning off the printing, undocking the windows between Edit/Graphics I don't know what else to do. If none of you help me that means I'll have to call tech support. I wonder if they have heard of this glitch. (I'm sure they'll say no) So for the sake of expediency Please Help Me........

I have been getting my butt kicked by a script I am trying to debug that I posted in another thread. It is a simple script that keeps hanging up on the SetVariableValue method. I keep getting an error and when I execute it a number of times PCDMIS doesn't even give a crash warning it just disapears. This does not help you but something I have noticed when debugging scripts is if you get a script error and you make an edit to change it you have to exit the part program or next time you run the script it will do either nothing or it will give you the same error. Once you make a change to the script and exit then reopen the program it works fine. So basically I have to run the script to see if I get errors, make an edit, exit the program, reopen the program, then run the script again. It is making debugging a pain in the ***. Who has experience with the .SetVariableValue method? I can't get it to work at all now. I posted this script to help a guy out and I keep getting a script error at the .SetVariableValue method. If I comment it out it runs.

I wrote this one for a guy a bit back and it ran fine now same thing errors at the SetVariableValue method. What gives? I bet I crashed 15 times yesterday. It is not like I'm trying something I've never done before I must be doing something small wrong that I am just not picking up on. Either that or there is some kind of quirk I do not know about like the deal where you have to close then reopen a program after every error.

I'm getting close to smash mode over this one so I know how you feel.

Its the version probably. make sure that you are mr3. no mr, mr1, and mr2 were very crash prone. I think I saw 13 in a matter of 5 hours. I have also seen it just disappear also. Just unacceptable. I know there are alot of tricks to keep it from crashing, like holding a 2 year old paper grocery bag over your head with a dead chicken in it, but to even have to do those seem "rinky-dink" to me.
