  • Keeping operator out of programs !!!!!!

    How can I lock up program mode and only allow my operators into the operator mode ????









    2011 cad++
    B&S CMM
    Seems the more I learn the more I forget !!!!!!

    Copy a link on to the desktop and then right click, go to properties and add /o to the end of the link string and you have operator mode.

      I have an operators mode and a programmers mode . I'm trying to figure out how to lock my program mode up so only I can use it .

        do Protected Mode and use Password

            close program, Edit/Protected Mode.

              Been there done that , as soon as you shut down the computer protected mode is turned off when you restart it .
              Seems the more I learn the more I forget !!!!!!

                Does not happen for me. Stays in protected mode. What version are you using?

                  Same here, I even restarted my computer and it stayed in protected mode. until I type password in.

                    Sounds like your account doesn't have the proper registry access to change the entries.

                          if you make changes in protected mode, will it actually save? maybe that's what protected mode in 2011 is.

                            Why don't you use operator mode for the operators? And on-line mode for you?

                            Protected mode works on 2013 and 2014. You might still be able to make a program in protected mode but does it save?

                              operators work 2nd shift and can open up online mode , im trying to find out how to lock online so they cant open it .
                              Seems the more I learn the more I forget !!!!!!
