Couple choices:

1) Probe file is now corrupt, delete probe file, recreate it when you get the program opened
2) Program was opened and saved with a newer version, open it with the newest version you have. If this came from a customer, have them 'save-as' the program to the version you are using.

Tried #1 and get the same thing. We even tried to run another CMM that did not have that probe file available.

The program was made here on 3.7MR2 and save to 3.5MR2 was run last week and can not be open this week on any of the machine it ran on before?

CAD? If so perhaps the program and CAD have been saved as "read only"? I know it's probably a different name when it is the read only problem but thoughht I'd throw it in the discussion just in case.

I had one operator who would open one program and get this same error. I would delete this program and make another copy of the original program and be fine for a day or two, then the next time this same operator opened the program, he again received this error. None of the other operators have gotten this error yet ( knock on wood ). I was hoping it was just a glitch as he has ran this program several times since then without any issues. If you ever find the cause, I would like to know for future referance.
