    version 3.52

Im checking a fixture with 3mm clear so I have my surface thickness on -3.0. At one spot on a flush check my surface was projected perpendicular to the surface when I wanted it projected in body or car position. If I set my surface thickness to 0 the flush check was coming out good but of course my surface was out 3mm. I believe this is cosin error or not.

My question is how do I project my surface offset in the direction I want it to go.

You can't, not with Pcdmis. Don't try to report them at the same time. Use a VECTOR or SURFACE point to check the surface, with the -3mm stock, then use no stock thickness for the flush check, but change the surface vector to 0,0,1 (if that is the way it was cut, straight 'up and down') and change the Z vector of the edge vector to zero, it will 'recalculate' the XY vectors, then use NO sample hit and set the depth 5 or 6mm.
