  • Edge Points?

    Good Morning Folks,

    Using v3.7mr3.

Quite often, I have a need to use edge points (plastic parts).

What is the correct method for reporting out the surface as well as the edge of the part? Do I use T, RS, RT..........., which one and why?

What is the purpose of "Gap On / Gap Off"?

I've tried to find useful information within the manual.

    Thanks for your assistance.

Use "S" to report the SURFACE of an edge point, use T to report the trim deviation.

GAP ONLY functions more or less as SNAP point in that it 'removes' the surface deviation from an edge point for reporting JSUT the deviations that would apply as if the surface were perfect.
