  • Arm2 Calibration Error

I am using 3.7 MR3 , It is linked to a Mitutoyo GATE CMM , Some times when I calibrated the Tip, two windows will shows up ( instead of One), second windows title is " Arm2 ", but I do not have any second Arm.

If I cancel this issue all software will jumps out and close and I have to start PC-DMIS again. Any body knows about this? any soultion is Highly appreciated.

    THANK you

Just finish the calibration, then close out of everything normally, do not cancel or quit. Finish the calibration, close the cal window, close the program, exit Pcdmis, start it back up. I have had that little window pop up a few times, just ignore it, but leave Pcdmis in a normal manner and it will not cause a problem.

Thanx for reply, any way you are closing and opening again, I meant is there any solution that totaly fix this issue? I have ignored this window but it does not goes away, when evry thing is calibrated, it is showing on the TOP, even when I close the program, it shows up on PCDMIS LOGO ( Base).

Nope, you can't get rid of it short of closing Pcdmis entirely and re-opening. Just one of the MANY 'enhancements' added by Wilcox and company.

Do not provoke arm 2! Do not look at arm 2 directly! It might perceive a threat and hold your hard drive hostage!

Honestly, Matt's right. If you let it finish calibrating and then close the program and PC-DMIS normally everything is fine. If you try to cancel calibration or something like that, PC-DMIS conveniently crashes, erasing any changes you made without saving. Yes I speak from personal experience.
