    Welcome,

I think you will find PC-DMIS a highly capable program but also highly annoying.

I think you will find the users of the forum highly capable programers but also highly eccentric.

        Welcome,
Yep it is good software, but maddening at times. Use ver 3.7MR3 or 4.1, don't bother to load any other they might try to give you. (Most likely they will give you a disc with 4.0, go to the Wilcox website and download 4.1).

Eccentric? Us? Me? You better believe it!

Is that ECCENTRIC or CONCENTRIC? I am more concentric myself.

PC-DMIS is the cats meow. Just remember the SMA is a little steep, maybe you can work out a multi-year deal with them.

Well, I was using a Z+ view and workplane for myself. If I use an X+ view and workplane, it is more, er, perpendicular.

You will find that we have many multifaceted individuals who are willing to provide assistance on this board.

Some actually reside in another dimension. Many of us have become that way over time. This usually occurrs after repeatedly banging your head against objects that are harder than your head.

My short way of saying welcome !!

I would definetly recommend PC-Dmis! Yes this software has it's faults but It is still the cream of the crop Crop in my opinion. The more I use other softwares the more I appreciate it. MSI is Ohio, specializes in Sheffield Cordax retrofits. They offer CMM-Manager software that doesn't require updating the control box. This will save you a lot of money up front but will probably require being updated in the future. This software is OK but it still doesn't compare to PC-Dmis. If the money is not an object I would go with the upgrade to PC-Dmis. If money is crucial to the decision you might want to look toware MSI. Again though I would definetly go with PC-Dmis if possible. If you have any questions PM me and I will be glad to assist.

If the machine is DCC, I would definitely go with PC-DMIS. If it is a manual CMM, I would not waist the money...

Any advice on what software is very easy to use on a manual? We are updating ours and several non-*** **** would have to use it.
