  • moving points off the cad model

Hi all, I am trying to do some programming from the cad model. I don't get to do this much. I am using the auto circle feature and taking 8 points around the circle (start 15° - end 345°) I need to move my 2nd and 3rd points away from a slot. I can display the hits, move the points (I can see the numbers change) click ok. Display hits again the moves are still there, but when I run the circle it doesn't measure in the new locations. It still measures the 1st locations off the 45° angles. Do I need to do something after clicking OK and before I click measure? I don't know if this matters, but I measure the hole first, then F9 the circle and moved the points? Is this part correct.
    Thanks

Try taking less points and see if that helps.

Try again using a new auto-circle.

Ok James, How do I do this. The display hits button is blanked out. I was thinking about something like that. I tried find noms, master it always goes back the original spots.

Mr. Bw_Bob, I could do this and it would work. I have a little time today so I am trying to learn some things about Cad programming. I don't get to do it and this was a post some time ago, just can't find it. I was wondering if it was something to do w/ 3.5mr2.

Do you see the hits on the screen? If so, there are green ones, 1 orange, and 1 red. Grab either the orange(end angle) or the red(start angle) and move the arrows until you aren't hitting the slot.

I have to run a couple of parts. I will try this after lunch and let you know.
                  Thanks for your help.

I dought its the model, but who knows. You have surface & curve mode, have you tried toggling between those.
