Could anyone tell me how to export data values so they someone else could open them and plot them into an excel spreadsheet?

When I export point values, I click on File | Export | Generic ...

Name the file and set the path, click Export.

Put a check next to Dimensions and set the Alignment, then click OK.

From Excel, click on Data | Get External Data | Import Text File, then follow the wizard to parse the data into Excel cells.

    Hope that helps...

There is a VB script for this on the Wilcox site. Works nicely.

Here is the link to their site. You have to register to get it.

When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.

          Also...

If you are running 4.+, there is a function under the WIZARDS toolbar called: PCD2EXCEL.

This is a neat executable that will take all of your report and put it into an Excel spreadsheet.

Works nice, but it is slow and has NOT been updated for XactMeasure GD&T.

Is there any way we can get that updated? It would be very useful after that.

One of the problems is that I can not output composite OR dual segment FCF's (I have hunderds of those). Also, it never seems to output MaxMin, which is instant death on outputting profile.

Does anyone know why I am getting this error when trying to run the PCD2EXCEL executable?
