Controller

Hi.
My Boss needs to replace or up-grade new Renishaw Controller . What is the best Controller and how much is it ?
I am using Brown& Sharpe Chameleon 7-10-5 and Renishaw PHC10.

We upgraded three machines about a year ago due to a major flood which wiped us out.

We had three machines, 2 x Exel 7x10x7 and 1 x Chamaleon 7x10x7 and upgraded all three to controller B3C-LC from Sharpe 32Z.

Approx cost was about £35K but we had nothing but hassle for about 3 - 6months with stacks of niggles and problems, the cost of which we will never get back but I guess ran into thousands.

I would strongly recommend against upgrading unless it is absolutely neccessary as to my mind other then being able to run in fly mode (no big deal), there is no real advantage.
