  • Why does my printer start automatically?

For some reason or another, when I write a program and run it, the results are automatically routed to the printer. All previous programs are not like this. I am not sure what started this. Maybe I clicked on a check box or unclicked one by accident. I do not want this to happen and can not figure out how to make it stop. Has anyone else had a problem with this? If so, can someone guide me thru fixing this problem. Take into consideration that I am not the sharpest pencil in the cup and need step by step instructions if possible.

Thanks in advance for you time and help.

Did you recently upgrade to V3.7 MR3? It seems to be a default with that version. Any new program I make is automatically being sent to a FILE (which is how ALL my program print) but for some reason, it decided to default to 'ON' instead of 'OFF' like it was before.

Put your cursor at the end of the program. Hit enter and type print. It does the same thing except you can see if its printing in your program.

Well, looks like no one else gave you step by step. I'll try. First, move your cursor up to "File" at the top left. Single left click. Move your cursor to "printing" move cursor to right and then down to "edit window print setup".
Single click here. A window will open. In this window you will have the option to select how to print. If you don't want any printing make sure that boxes on the left are not checked.

If you have it unchecked in a program and save then close and start a new program it will be unchecked in the new program. If you have it checked in a program and save then close and start a new program it will be checked in the new program. I haven't figured out how to get it to default to unchecked whenever a new program is started but I would like to know if anyone has an answer.

            Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the help. Everything is working OK for now. I have not tried to see what all happens with a new program, but I will when I get some extra time and report back.
