Mode list in the Misc area

Does anybody knows how this works? Some examples?
I use Nominals only.

The Mode list in the Misc area determines how the nominals will be computed for a given point. PC-DMIS allows you to choose between FIND NOMS, MASTER, and NOMINALS.
