probe updating after changes

Running V4.2 MR1 offline.
My problem is in an open program if I make changes to the program and try to run the program through, the last probe file used is shown, not the probe file that is required. Even when a probe change is requested in the program it doesn't update. The only way to correct it is by closing the program then re-opening, then it works fine. Any ideas you fine people?
