  • Cone Angle

    I have measured a cone and now I want to find out what the angle is. How would I measure this. I tried Angle between but keep getting 90deg. What am I missing.

      An angle between the cone and another feature? or the angle of the cone.
      Between features make sure feature and call out are done in correct work planes. Angle of the cone is dimensioned under Location>Pick your cone>check "A" for your dimension

        I belive I am. I am looking at Zplus and the cone starts at Z0 and goes down from there.

            you can't use the "angle" tolerance icon.....you have to go into the "Feature Location" like you are going to apply "X" and "Y" tolerancing. In there you pick the feature (your cone) and then check the "A" box and then "create"....you now have the angle of your cone. apply tolerance as needed

            I had to ask the help line to get this one myself.....not a very obvious way to do this....

              That's what I needed. I got it doing the Feature>Con>"A".
