Machine Calibration

When a CMM calibration is done , is this stored to the CMM controler or is this stored to the PCdmis software? I'm talking about when they come in to do a yearly machine calibration not the probe calibration.

The reason I'm asking is because I have a hard disk failure but have Pcdmis and program files backed up and stored but don't see a calibraton file.

It will depend on the controller. Sharpe32 controllers have files on the hard drive.

I have a newer type machine, Global Image 9-12-8 and some of the electronics stuff is sent to the controller. They used to make me a disc to keep w/ all the important info and new adjustments that were made. I didn't get that this time but I think that was because we were here late that night.

2 of ours are Sharpe32 controllers. The file is comp.dat

DON'T FORGET DOWNL.OAD as well, it is required for the Sharpe32 controller.

I'm using a new global status machine and I don't see the comp.dat file.Gonna mail our rep to ask.

W/ Fp2 And Newer Controls On Globals, The Maps Are Stored In The Controllers. Older Systems Are As Per The Previous Replys.
