  • Short cuts can get you

I just started using 4.1 and really dislike the report formate and didn't really have time to mess with it so I output the edit window. The machine center was adjusted to the CMM EDIT WINDOW output and another part was run on the machine center and brought up to run thru the program. The info from the edit window was output again. OOPs!!! The Nominals in the edit window do not change. They seem to be fixed. That short cut is going to cost me.

Oh one more thing I've noticed is that the program "4.1" is not stopping to ask me to change the tip, it just goes on it's marry way and CRASH right into the part.

Go to Edit\Preferences\Setup and click on Warnings, and ensure the "Load Tip" warning is not marked as "Don't ask me again".

It is checked I went there right away when it happened to be sure. I guess I should have put that info in my thread.

I found what looks like the reason that the program was not asking for a tip change. I had not done a calibration of that tip yet as I was building the program "and I don't stop in the middle of programing to calibrate" the tips are close enough without it for programing purposes. But it looks like if the tip is not calibrated it will not ask you to change it.
