  • Exporting RTF Files in v 4.1

Since upgrading to v 4.1 all exported RTF files have become very difficult for our QEs to edit in Microsoft Word. It seems like every word is a discrete packet. It does not function as a normal Word document. I'm sure this is because of the new reporting format with templates that PcDmis has gone to. Does anyone have a workaround?

    First, Why are they editing?!
Second, I don't use 4.1 and can't help. I just want to know why they would need to edit?

It is all objects now. Bummer eh? If you use anything to read it in other than Word or Word pad it may not read in to boot. I wrote a GUI with VB that has an rtf reader but it does not recognize objects so I get a blank sheet. This was an "enhancement" cool huh?

        Hi Addison,

There is a Settings Editor registry entry that controls this. Set the DoNotUseAmyuniRTF setting to 1. See this post here on how to do it.
