  • Converting Pc-Dmis program to 'Pure' dmis format

hi all, i've been asked to invistigate this and have a few questions:-

    1) What exactly IS 'pure' dmis (i'm quite new to all this!)

    2) Can you convert a pc-dmis program into 'pure' dmis format?

    3) If it can be done, how do you do it?

    thanks everyone,

    chris

    :-)
so, what did you say a cmm did?

File ~ Export ~ DMIS. That's all there is to it.

    That being said.....

Pcdmis is NOT "pure dmis". Not even close. Pcdmis does a lot more than "pure dmis" and some of the things you may have done in the program will NOT show up in the DMIS code.

          +1 to what Matt said.

There are no bugs, only "UNDOCUMENTED ENHANCEMENTS!"

            "pure" dmis doesnt exist.
There are a number of softwares that use dmis coding but as dmis itself is limited they all have extra code in to enable cad use etc.
