  • datapage recalaculation of t values

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can have datapage recalculate t values for vector points and how to do it. Thanks in advance.

What are you looking to do? You can change the NOMINAL of a T value to reflect a change in nominal locations, but you can also give it an 'odd' tolerance limits (-1.0 to +2.0 instead of +/-1.5 to reflect a 0.5mm part shift), but to actually re-calculate the value to get a new value? Nope.

      datapage recalaculation of t values

I changed the nominals in a program and reran the last part with datapage on , datapage updated the nominals but all the t values for the previous parts did not get updated to reflect the new nominals ,i was wondering if datapage can recalculate the t values instead of rerunning all the parts.

The quick answer, NOPE, you have to re-run all the parts you checked before you made the change.

The "T" value, no matter WHAT the nominal XYZ will always be ZERO since it will reflect the total deviation from perfect, no matter WHAT 'perfect' is (that is why it is zero for ALL the points, even though they all have different XYZ nominals).

You can export the data from Datapage and import it into EXCEL and have Excel calculate new T values based on the new XYZ nominals, but ONLY if it is either VECTOR POINTS or EDGE POINTS WITHOUT a sample hit or EDGE POINTS With a sample hit AND GAP ONLY turned on.
