  • Importing old cmm programs

Hi all.......What is the general consensus when importing old PcDmis DOS and Avail programs into the newer versions of PcDmis?
I've heard both good and bad things about importing older programs. If the program is not to complex, usually importing the programs goes smoothly, but if the program is complex, I've heard the programs take forever to clean up and your just better off starting over.
Anyone have experience importing older programs? We are using 3.7 mr3. TIA.

Old PC-Dmis Dos programs can not be read into windows unless you still have a version of Dos running to output to windows format

I have found that most of the time it is just faster to Re-write the program
with all the new stuff PC-Dmis has to offer makes it much quicker
than trying to re-do everything from Dos

We were sent a dongle that had AVAIL enabled on it to try it out(3.5 and 3.7). It does not work. AVAIL has been removed from the the PC-DMIS list of modules available in 4.0 and above as it did not work.
