I just got a new cmm & A Brown & Sharpe Jog Box. The old cmm I used the bottom middle button was programed as "Erase Hit". The new Jog box has the same button programed to nothing. I was told that you can program the button, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to program it to "Erase Hit"?

I'm running 3.5mr2 with a sharpe 32 controller. If you have this then you can open DMIS go to edit/sharpe32 and it gives you options for your print button. Choose one hit apply & ok and your done.sigpic.....Its called golf because all the other 4 letter words were taken

I'm guessing it was a sales rep who promised something he/she couldn't deliver.

It was one of the guys that calibrated the machine when I got. Good advice I need to give him a call about a few other issues, like on pick up if I touch off on a tooling ball or align. bushing and donn't come off on the same vector I came in on the machine will just stop then I have to hit the emergency stop button and move the machine by hand. Has anyone else had that happen to them?

Not that it matters but, a sharpe32 controller on a "new" machine? I thought that was old stuff?(I too aheva sharper32z so I'm not knocking your equipment). Anyways, as far as hitting F1 for the help files and it kicks you out? Something didn't load correctly if at all. Contact BNS, if you are loading 4.1 you have a software contract. They can help where us ham-fisted goons can't.sigpic

Every CMM I've worked with (3) that had PC-DMIS, has crashed when I hit F1 or the help button. I've always thought it was just a glitch in the writing of PC-DMIS that's caused the problem... As it turns out, coincidentally it's been (from what I've heard) an inadequate graphics card or driver. It may be combined with the controller as well but as has been my experience thus far, exclusive to the graphics.
I've learned over time and crashes, to never ask for help from the F1 option... Come here first... But that's just me...Thomas Stewart
