  • DataPage sort?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get DP to print charts with measurement readings above or below a certain value? I am running several hundred parts on a short pc-dmis prog to sort for accept/reject. I need to print histograms of each catagory so we know what we are sending to the customer and how we might salvage the 'rejects.' The only way that comes to mind is to print a run chart by stat-count, then tag each transaction according to which side of the spec limit it's on.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this applies but I would try putting a TRACE value in the PCDMIS part program and set this value based on the measurement ("1" for above, "-1" for below, "0" for just right). You can then sort (or just choose) based on this TRACE value.

Sounds like a good feature to have in the prog before running 1400 parts. Something to remember for next time.

      Thanks.

        Spread Sheet Report

        Do a spread sheet Report.
        File>Save to>Save Current Report> (text file)
I have my text file set up to be coma seperated.
        Then I open excel
        Data>import>Import external data
        click on file name
after import click on column Header line
        Data>filter>auto filter
click on drop down arrow for measured and click on up arrow to sort descending or sort ascending.

        This puts parts in order.
I have a trace fields are also visable.

Thanks, Dave. After some trial & error, I got it to work.

Have you looked into queries? I was told by someone at Wilcox that you can sort the data any way you want with them. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like you can do what you're looking for.

The queries are based on the TRACE values.

Guess I was told wrong. Nevermind.
