Does anyone here know of a way to clean the reader heads?

What makes you think you need to clean them? What is your machine model and build year?
Do not just try to clean the readers because it looks dusty. If that is the case, use a Q-tip and try to eliminate the dust as best you can. If the scale sqeaks, you may have a wear issue and cleaning may not fix it. Actually can make it worse.

Generally, I use compressed air to blow ACROSS them to get dust out. Alignment on ours is critical.Comment
