  • Error: An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end.

I was hoping someone could help me with this bug Ive got.

The error message appears when I try to add a subroutine call statement to my "master" part program. After clicking on the select subroutine option dialog box, and then clicking on the external program which contains my feature subroutine. I get an error message as follows:

    "\<my program.prg>: Serialization error.
Error: An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end."

I've already tried deleting and recreating the probe file, but its doesnt seem to make any difference.

The subroutine will run without errors if I execute it within the part program it is saved in.

    Im using PCDMIS v4.0

    Thanks

I think there was a bug when you are trying to open the subroutine from this dialog. You can manually type the CALLSUB command in the edit window and fill in the information - you just cannot select the sub from the dialog. This has been corrected.

Fortunately this is my first experience with v4.0 and I noticed that other users are already using v4.1. I'm going to download that version and try again using the latest release then.

      Thanks
