A little more info would be helpful.
Some settings that are/can be program specific
move/measure speed,print options,prehit/distances etc.

Thanks for the replies.
We had some issues here, turned out to be one setting in one login on one PC
and a different setting for same login on another PC.
The thought was that someone changed these settings to make the other logins work.
But I know that is not the case, I believe the defaults vary depending on what PC D-MIS you are installing, perhaps what PC D-MIS you previously installed, perhaps on what other applications are installed as well.
I also know from B & S some of the .dat files can get screwed up by trying to open PC D-MIS again, while you are waiting for it to come up (which happens alot here because it can take so long to open the first time).
I was just trying to get a handle on exactly what settings are set where and if you open a file, if some change to those that were saved in that particular file. I believe more info from B & S on this would be very helpful, I believe alot of problems may be settings related.
