  • Installing 2010MR3 on Vista. HASP drivers corrupted themselves. Nothing works anymore

Anybody had this already? When going from 4.3mr1 to 2010mr3 on a Vista computer, the install wants to install new HASP drivers. This seems to fail and setup.exe comes to a halt.

My computer is a DELL OPTIFLEX 755, 4.00 Gig Ram, Intel Core2 Duo E8400 @3.00 Ghz Running Vista Enterprise Service Pack 2. I have a green port lock that used to work fine with 4.3mr1.

When I try to run setup again, it asks me to attach the portlock to the "parallel port in the back of the computer". But my portlock is USB?

Old software does not find the (new and green) USB portlock either.

    Dead in the water.

    Anybody had this before?

Update. No problems yet with PC-DMIS v2010mr3. PC-DMIS v2010mr3 is installed on a DELL OPTIPLEX GX620 Processor Pentium 4HT with 3GB Ram.
Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3. Using the old HASP portlock (purple).

Used ontrol panel to get rid of any old HASP driver and then had setup re-install. After a long time, now I get this message:

"Hasp drivers did not load correctly. Please contact technical support"

First call logged at 10:00 am this morning. Still waiting...

        Problem solved.

Go to Control Panel/Device Manager and under other drivers, UnInstall the HASP drivers. Then go to "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and uninstall all that have to do with SafeNet .On mine, there were 3.

Then run setup.exe again and all works. Don't ask me why, but it did.

I stumbled upon this around 1:00pm. At 2:00pm, support called and I was able to enlighten them.

Did you have them renew "their" SMA with you?
