  • Construct Perp Plane

I'm constructing a perpendicular plane which should have a vector of 1,0,0, but the actuals are way off, like 0.40125463, 0.0000012, 0.984312.

My Datum_A is a plane in -Y (0,-1,0) and I'm leveling to it. I have a line with a vector of 0,0,1 so it's pointing in +Z. My construction is CONSTR/PLANE,PRTO,DATUM_A,LIN_B

Shouldn't the resulting plane have a vector 1,0,0?

    Help!

Wouldn't that line and plane be parallel? Just trying to visualize it -

Yes they are parallel but the resulting plane should be perp to A and through B, yes?

It should be - that is correct. What are the results if you reverse the features?

Are you taking points in slow mode for initial alignments?

I just took three manual points for a plane and took two points for a line. No leveling or alignment.
Did keego's construction and walla - a plane perp to plane 1 passing through line 1.

keego, you ain't got the right hat on today.
