    Hope this don't sound stupid, but most parts I measure are sheet metal mostly .5-1mm thick. There probably is a way that I just haven't found yet, to measure a hole with auto circle and instead of it bringing the hole to the top, put it on the bottom. In other words offset the hole to the bottom of the material. A lot of the times the part will have a steep incline and the true position is dimensioned to the back side of material. If this isn't already a feature and I haven't found it, it would be nice.

    If you know the material thickness just plug it into the ACT THICNESS in the auto feature dialog box, then define the feature at the bottom side. It will adjust the target to measure at the top but comp the measured value back to the bottom side of material.
