OK Here Goes, Im Dowlaoding 3.7

I am currently downloading 3.7MR3. I am going to upgrade from 3.5MR2.
I will probably asking alot of questions about this version. I hope I am not going to regret this.
I have done like some of the post have suggested about making a new folder to put it in.

Any input would be great.

Steady there old boy. Stiff upper lip and all that. Actually you will find 3.7 MR3 to be virtually identical to 3.7MR2 only without some of the "better" enhancements, like frequent software collaspe, (aka power-shut-down/"pc-dmis has generated errors. . . ").

you will have an easy transition and you will like 3.7mr3.

my favorite thing in 3.7 is the way you can move your hit locations around on some of the auto features. create an auto circle there will be a bunch of green arrows in the graphics window, click and drag those and you can move your hit locations around. right click on one of them and click user defined and you can move them individually. excellent for if you have a weird slot configuration or a keyway.

OK. I downloaded the file. I UnZipped them in the new folder I created from the other folder PCDMS. The new one is PCDMS3.7.
I opened that folder and found the install Icons. I hit it to install 3.7.
I now get a message "Editor was unable to load the string ES_MOVE_TYPES_TOGGLES.
Any ideas?

I told you I would have questions?

OK, Here is where I am now.
I got it to load. I have Admin rights on the computer itself. I also log into the network where I don't have admin rights.
I logged into just the computer and got it up and running. I created a shortcut on the desktop and all is well. Except for the probe thing, I read about it on one of the threads. I will address that later.
The problem is, I am having problems once I log into the network side of the computer. I stay logged in here all the time. I have created a shortcut on this desktop also and when I hit it I get a message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click on OK to terminate the application"
I am able to open up 3.5 without any problems. I am sure it is something simple, but I just don't know what to do.

My 'puter is one the company network all the time with no problems. Are you saying that when you try to access the network Pc-Demon shuts down, or you fail to connect to the network? Do you have any IT personel or anyone else at your company that knows your network? They might have some ideas about this error. Otherwise call B&S tell them this is an install and you need help NOW. I do not know how much good that will do, but. . .

Do you have administrator priveliges on your computer ? I fnot, you will have to get someone to let you install it that does

My computer is hooked up on the network. I have to log in if I want to be on the network.
I log in diferently if I want to be on just the computer. I have the rights for just the computer if I am not logged in to the network.
By logging into the network i can access my email and the internet. If I am not logged into the network All I have is the computer.

The problem is, When I am not logged intothe network, (just the computer), everything is fine.

When I am logged into the network(thecomputer is logged into the network), I can not open the new version (3.7MR3). I still am able to open 3.5MR2.

When you log on as admin it should not matter if your on the network or not if i'm reading your last post correct. I've also downloaded other versions of DEMONS and for what ever reason it would not work properly and had to start over and download again.

When I log into just the computer, It knows I am the Admin.
When I log into the network, I am looging in as someone other than Admin.

I don't know how your network is set up, but you should be able to log onto the computer with admin priviledges for the computer and still log into the network with just user priviledges for the network. If you cannot access the network while logged onto the computer as Admin, you need either change it so you can, or install 3.7MR3 into the user profile of your computer that you can log into the network with. HTH

You have to have admin rights to install software.
