Manual TTP Scan

I am still new with Pc-Dimas and I am trying to do a manual scan, but when I go to the Insert-Scan drop down menu all scaning methods are listed grey, accept the last segment from circle and down. What do I have to do to make the other options available. I am running ver 4.0. on Zeiss eclipse.

What version of Pcdmis do you have and what classification?

I have V3.7 MR3 CAD++

If you have just the very basic classification of Pcdmis, scanning may not be part of it.

Did you switch to manual mode first. My option only comes up if I take it out of dcc mode

You have to have DCC off before you can do your manual TTP Scan

Ok. I got it going in manual mode, but now I am getting error msg. "Hit taken outside tolerance zone.Distance=10" Even try it on surfaces I know they are ok, still the same error.
