  • Bug??

When i open up a particular program dmis keeps telling me that i'm using a tip that hasn't been calibrated. Which is all fine and dandy apart from the fact that i calibrated the probe 2 minutes previously and have been using it without fuss!! And the fact that in the program it doesn't show any problem with the probe!! Is it just me or is this another bug in the software???

When you open UTILITIES/PROBE, there should be a setup button. There is a setting for "Give warnings when tip has not been calibrated in ___ days" it may be set to give you a warning. HTH

        Hey Porkchop,
My friend Mr. John Kingston and I were wondering if this issue ever got resolved because sooner or later someone is sure to try and bring the carcass of this thread back to life and then it will be time to quote Yogi. . .

        Just for you John!!!

Wes, thank you for your concern. Please read cmmguy's post. Remember that Paul is less than 4 hours away, he may arrive in your local whiskey bar as Paula. Too much whiskey will make you do strange , uh , things.

Would be interesting to know if you had moved this program somewhere different just after calibrating it. I would check if there are duplicate probe files somewhere, like in your new folder that you moved this program to.
I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

Uh-oh, looks like the PCDPP are onto me. [email protected] coppers! I will have to bribe Hodeman to teach me evasive tactics.

John, you are welcome, but it is no big deal, nothing you wouldn't do for me I am sure. Your choice of words brings to mind that fine composition by the Doors:

. . . Show me the way to the next Whiskey Bar,
                      How? Don't ask why,
                      How? Don't ask why,
                      For if we don't find,
                      the next Whiskey bar,
I tell you we must die,
                      I tell you we must die . . .

Funny you should mention The Doors. Yesterday we were listening to some at work. I'd never noticed it before, but there are no backup vocals on any of their songs that we could think of. Did they have backup vocals?

I am something of a fan, but not an expert. My gut response is: "NO! Jim always flew without a net." That could be mostly rock attitude. It is not based on any concrete research or in depth analysis.
